The Victoria Festival Investment Grant Program is now accepting applications

Nonprofits can receive up to $50,000 for large events, $25,000 for small celebrations

Applications are now open for the City of Victoria Festival Capital Grants, which will help local community festivals and other events taking place in 2023.

The total grant budget is $400,000 and will help fund up to 25% of the festival’s operating costs. A new source of funding of $75,000 has been added to the program this year for Canada Day community events.

The city is also requesting additional Canada Day funding from Canadian Heritage for the community-wide celebration. Last year, the Festival Investment Program provided grants to a total of 41 festivals and celebrations.

The application deadline is 4 p.m. on December 30.

An online session will be held to provide grant information at 5:30 p.m. on November 15.

Anyone wishing to register for the session or apply for a scholarship can do so at victoria.ca/festivalscholarship.
