Minister of Telangana Industries, KTR invites Tesla to move into the state – The New Indian Express

HYDERABAD: IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao’s “Tesla” tweet has created a buzz on the internet, with several people including well-known journalists, actors and industrialists hailing the move.

“Hey Elon, I am the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Telangana State India. Will be happy to partner with Tesla to meet the challenges of setting up in India/Telangana. Our state is a champion sustainability initiatives and a premier business destination in India,” the minister tweeted in response to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s tweet.

Rama Rao was responding to a tweet from the CEO of the electric vehicle and clean energy company which read: “Still overcoming many challenges with the government.” In no time, figures including movie actors, journalists and industry leaders backed the minister’s tweet and backed the idea.

As the minister’s tweet received many responses on the social media platform, “Elon Musk” and “Tesla” took the top spots in Twitter trends in India.

“I love this car so much, Elon Musk. Looks like hope is just around the corner,” actress Genelia Deshmuk said. “Elon Musk, come to Hyderabad – India! It will be epic to have you. The government here in Telangana is great too,” said actor Vijay Devarakonda.

Welcoming Tesla to the state, Tollywood director Meher Ramesh tweeted: “Elon Musk sir you have the best land and infrastructure in Telangana of course the best KTR minister and administration.”

Another director, Gopichand Malineni, tweeted: “Dear Elon Musk, we would love to have Tesla in Telangana…because we have the best infrastructure and major business hub in India.”
