GTT unveils new internet and voice plans to boost businesses


GTT Business Solutions says it aims to energize businesses by offering internet and voice solution packages with its new conneX packages.

Unveiled over the weekend by GTT Business Solutions Chief Operating Officer (COO), Orson Ferguson, a statement from Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GTT) said the new conneX 75, conneX 150 and conneX 600 plans will see businesses new and existing receive high-speed Internet service with free voice solutions of 3,500, 4,000 and 6,000 free minutes for local calls on the network and calls to the United States and Canada.

“Today we have…agents who are tasked with working with small businesses in specific geographies, to help them make informed technology decisions. These agents have been working with businesses since July and are responsible for providing solutions to hundreds of small businesses across Guyana. We also have the number one cashless payment solution in Guyana, mmg, in our small business solution stack. With mmg+, small businesses can make and receive payments from anywhere in Guyana,” said Ferguson.

Ferguson added:[conneX] will speed up international communication with stakeholders and bring more value. This solution will also bring greater simplicity. The simplicity these businesses need…”

Tanya Wilcott, Senior Manager SMB, Technical and Cloud Delivery at GTT Business Solutions, said in the release that customers who have landline phone numbers can keep their current numbers when upgrading to new conneX plans.

“These solutions were designed just for you, and that’s how we give you the extra pair of hands and extra day you need to move your business forward with ease. These new plans offer the added benefits of greater speed to keep you connected to your stakeholders, more minutes to keep you connected to your [international] partners and more value to ensure you can take advantage of the opportunities the new economy presents,” she said.

She also revealed that there will be a single bill for landline and internet services.

Following the launch of conneX, GTT and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) hosted a trade show that saw over 40 small and medium-sized businesses take the opportunity to showcase their products and services.

The exhibition was a free opportunity for companies to make themselves known and to meet the public and members of the private sector. These companies, according to the statement, will also benefit from three free months of conneX to kick-start their enhanced connectivity.
