Crown TV Launches Digital Signage App for Displaying NFTs at Retailers
The application, which would be integrated with Crown TV’s signage solution, would enable the availability of NFTs in the physical realm, which has traditionally existed in the digital realm, for display in retail spaces.
A non-fungible token is a digital asset that gets used to a blockchain and can be bought or sold. They take many forms of digital artwork, photographs, music, videos, tweets, memes, or any digital file that can be reproduced.
Interestingly, the app will provide businesses with the option to display their NFTs or any publicly available NFTs on OpenSea, which is an NFT marketplace. Users can also provide additional details, such as information on price, provenance, description, and a QR code that allows retail shoppers to scan and purchase the NFT on their phone from the store.

While Crown Tv’s decision to bring NFT into the physical realm is laudable, it’s important to state that this act is not without its challenges. Brands such as Nike (NYSE :), Disney, McDonald’s (NYSE :), and the Dallas Mavericks NBA team have started offering NFTs to consumers, but have not implemented their point-of-sale display. Superchief Gallery launched its first NFT physical art gallery in 2021, but it has been described as faulty and delayed screens during exhibitions. On the other hand, the brand Toy LOL Surprise! announced what it claims to be “the biggest retail NFT launch in history,” which involves the release of 10 million card packs at 20,000 outlets, including Walmarts, Target (NYSE 🙂 and Walgreens. Each card has its unique QR code for digital collectibles, tokens, NFTs, or a digital version of a physical collectible.
Crown TV’s app would be available to users of its in-dash digital signage software. The amazing features that make up the app include content optimization for video walls, vertical displays, horizontal displays and displays with HDMI support, with resolution up to 4K. Along with Crown Tv’s digital signage applications, the NFT can be included in a playlist and programmed to be displayed alongside other applications and content on screens.
