A Coleraine insurance company created a first in Northern Ireland by launching an online-only car insurance brand, representing an investment of £ 3million.
Insurance intermediary, MCL InsureTech Ltd., launches the platform to allow drivers full digital autonomy on their insurance premiums.
GetSetGo gives customers a convenient way to buy and manage auto insurance premiums online without paperwork or the need to speak to an advisor.
To ensure its success, the company has invested £ 3million in technology and marketing and as the GetSetGo brand grows and resonates with traditional drivers, the company will make room for 50 new roles in its Swords office.
With the mantra “Let’s Go” and the slogan “Quick Start Car Insurance, Ready When You Are”, GetSetGo is poised to disrupt the market and pave the way for the insurance premiums of the future.
The new brand will replace the company’s 25Plus product, launched in 2008 in Ireland. The company aims to make GetSetGo its leading brand, ready to serve the digitally savvy consumer.
GetSetGo will provide consumers with the simplicity and convenience of managing their insurance policy at their fingertips, at a time that suits their lifestyle and with additional services including Blackbox telematics insurance for new drivers.
Gary McClarty, Founder and Managing Director of MCL InsureTech Ltd., which already owns the its4women, 25Plus and BoxyMo insurance brands, said: “We are very excited to launch our fourth auto insurance product in line and that allows us to compete in the consumer car insurance arena here in Northern Ireland.
“GetSetGo is launched at a time when the world has had to accelerate its familiarity with work, life and play online during the pandemic. Many drivers have done a lot virtually over the past year, making a product like GetSetGo – an online-only auto insurance brand – a less intimidating experience and something to embrace for its convenience.
“We are confident that our product will resonate with many drivers and we look forward to growing the brand and welcoming up to 50 new people to our team as we grow.”

We anticipate that our product will appeal to listeners of the podcast series. “
The company manages around £ 50million in gross written premiums and over 90,000 customers on the island of Ireland.
