Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India]September 29: Bangalore-based fintech startup Bullsmart launches mutual fund investment app. Leading investment solutions provider Bullsmart hosted a gala launch of this app at the Global Fintech Festival 2022 held at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. Bullsmart, a new-age fintech start-up based in Bangalore, was the Silver Partner of the GFF 2022 event. This year’s theme was “Creating a Sustainable Financial World: Global, Inclusive, Green”. The event witnessed the participation of eminent personalities including Shri. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India; Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Minister of Finance and Commercial Affairs; Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Ms. Madhabi Puri Buch, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Chair. In her address, Nirmala Sitharaman said fintech is important for financial inclusion and she urged fintech players to work with government and regulators.

Ankita Das, CEO of Bullsmart, participated in a panel discussion on “Investment Gamification – Where to Draw Boundaries”. She was joined by Sagarika Shah, Samant Sikka, Viram Shah and Karan Mehra. Speaking to the audience, Ankita shared Bullsmart’s vision and the current state of financial literacy and financial inclusion in India and how gamification can be leveraged to make financial education more engaging and easy to understand, especially among young people. She said, “Three key principles that make gamification a desirable feature of any investment platform are progression, competition, and community.”

Ankita also criticized the use of gamification techniques employed by a few players to manipulate users into aggressive trading. In conclusion, Ankita suggested that investment platforms should not go overboard with gamification and should adopt sustainable gamification strategies to improve users’ overall investment experience.
